Kids First Club

What are they doing down there?

We spend a little time each week with Regan, and sometimes some of her friends. She re-tells our Bible story, in a kid-friendly way. We always enjoy her visits and want to thank her for joining us! We know she is busy! We also want to thank Daryl and Kim Hays, Miss Sandy, Miss Jackie and Miss Hope for all of their help. And we are very excited to welcome back Mr. Shepherd!

We learned the story of the Lord’s Prayer. The kids thought of lines they would like to have in a prayer and came up with the Kids First Club Prayer. Miss Kim is planning to set it to music for us! We are really excited about that.

Along with our trivia, we do work on crafts, and we are getting ready to start up our Pen PALS ministry again. How many of you would be interested in joining us for a first annual Pen PAL night? It would be great if the church could get together and join the Kids First Club in making cards that can be used throughout the year to bring cheer to the members, visitors, friends and families of New Hope.

If you are interested, please leave a note in the New Hope PALs, Puppet Ministry mailbox, let me know what day/night of the week is best for you – so we can see about putting an event together. Don’t think you have to be super talented in the art department, we would have kits to be assembled, and then blank slates for those of you who are true artists!

Hi God

We open our hearts to
thank you for so many things:

For all kinds of people
For all kinds of fun
For love and forgiveness
For Jesus, Your Son.

For good food and good health
For family and friends
For a place called home
To come back to again

For angels watching over us
And helping us to share
For church and Kids First Club
For needs filled with care

We put Jesus first
That’s what we do
‘Cause He loves us
And we love Him too.

Amen – Alleluia

NHUMC Sunday School…

is committed to a Christ-like experience for your children and you.

Commitment is a promise and action. When we join the United Methodist Church we make a commitment to support the church its teachings. The Sunday School teachers tke this commitment seriously by being in the classroom weekly.

Commitment also means a promise by the parents for their Children. I realize that it is a tough job sometimes to get the kids motivated on Sunday morning to attend Sunday School, with the activities of the weekend (sports, dance lessons, etc) that your children participate in.

God is the reason that your children are active. Sunday is the time to worship for you and your children-especially your children! Jesus never turned away the children. He thought they were very important. Come, take action and make that commitment.

    Christian Education
